Texas site locations totaling over 1000 MW currently being developed
Things to Know About our Projects
Grid scale energy storage facilities use the same renewable energy technology that are in today’s electric vehicles.
Adding these facilities will not increase your electricity rate at your home or on your property.
These facilities provide valuable energy during times of peak demand and help support and stabilize the transmission system to prevent blackouts and ensure power quality (eliminate flickering).
These facilities typically “recharge” during low priced periods where there is an abundant amount of renewable energy like wind (usually late night or early morning) and “discharge” during high prices periods when demand is high (usually mid to late afternoon).
Battery systems are fully housed in their own enclosures each roughly the size of a shipping container. Other equipment installed onsite will be small step-down transformer. All equipment will be properly mounted and secured on permanent concrete foundations.
NAVITAS is an experienced Texas-based developer of power generation facilities having successfully developed, financed, and constructed 6 different power plants across six site over the last 7 years.
Site During Construction
Typical light industrial site
8–12-month construction period (mobilization to site)
Peak activity will occur over a 3-month period
Towards the end of the construction period, in which batteries are delivered and installed, a maximum of 50 construction workers are onsite during peak construction time
Site During Operations
Completely noiseless, renewable energy
Every acre will contain approximately [20] containers
No fuel is stored onsite
Every acre will contain approximately [20] containers
Fully fenced and monitored with security cameras
No fuel is stored onsite
Operated remotely with minimal on-site work required- so minimal traffic
No permanent sewage/potable water system will be installed since there will be no full-time staff onsite
No hazardous material is used so no waste spills are possible
No harmful emissions or pollutants
Requires no water supply or fossil fuels to operate
